Opera Mini, the world's favorite mobile web browser, which was submitted to the App Store for review in March has finally been approved and will be available for download in the next 24 hours.
This comes as a shock to all, as expected Apple to reject the application Opera Mini as it competes with MobileSafari in terms of functionality and service offering. Here's what the CEO of Opera Software, Lars Boilesen, has to say about this in a press release:
We are delighted to offer users an iPhone and iPod touch browsing experience with Opera Mini app great. This app is another step towards the goal of bringing the Opera Web more people in more places.
The Opera Mini app makes use of page compression and proprietary technology rendering Opera, which increases the loading of Web pages on slow connections such as EDGE. It is probably the fastest web browser on the mobile world.
The Opera Mini is available free app on the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch.
